Homemade Pasta and Pasta Dinners

Learn how to make various pasta doughs and shapes from scratch. In this class students will make several sauces, vegetables, and completed dishes from start to finish. Students will learn how to make pasta dough from scratch, create several traditional shapes, properly cook their finished pasta shapes and serve their dishes for a wonderful easy dinner meal.

Requirements- students are required to wear proper footwear- closed toe and closed heel shoes with slip resistant soles.

Bring containers and a bag so you can easily take home dishes you prepare.

GBCC provides: knives, cutting boards, towels, apron, kitchen supplies, and ingredients

Students should expect to be working in a professional kitchen under the instruction of our highly experienced Chef Instructor, using tools, knives, ovens, stoves, and specialized equipment.

Basics of Bread Making

Students will learn the basics of yeast risen doughs, quick breads, and flatbreads. Toppings for flatbreads, along with dips, sauces, & spreads will be made from scratch.

Understanding the mechanics of leavening agents, the development of gluten, and the effects of local climate, humidity, ambient temperature, and sourcing of ingredients will be covered.

Requirements- students are required to wear proper footwear- closed toe and closed heel shoes with slip resistant soles.

Introduction to Pastry Arts

This class offers an introduction to the wonderful world of pastry arts, just in time for the holiday baking season! In this class students will make and decorate cakes, make & fill profiteroles, assemble & glaze fresh fruit tarts, and learn the art of making a basic dessert mousse.

Python Fundamentals

This course introduces the Python programming language and how it relates to controlling a mechatronic system. It is designed for students with little to no prior programming experience. Students will learn the fundamentals of Python syntax, structure and operations.

NCBM112 GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Calendar Next available session starts Feb 23, 2027 at 6 pm, runs for 3 weeks

Advanced symbology, known as geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T). Students will be able to accurately interpret GD&T annotations and applications on industrial blueprints. This course assumes a prerequisite knowledge of blueprint reading.

Python Controls and Functions

This course covers decision making structures and flow of execution in python programs. The class introduces classes, objects, inheritance, and methods. This course assumes a basic prerequisite knowledge of python fundamentals.
