Social Media Marketing

Learn how to market using social media! Develop a social media strategy by utilizing platform specific social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube).  Perform demographic targeting, write ad copy, manage marketing budgets, learn to schedule content, measure KPIs through data driven decisions, create an employee advocacy program, incorporate influencer marketing, and practice personal branding. This is all accomplished through a state-of-the-art simulation program and e-text bundle where you are the social media marketing manager. Classes will meet on Monday nights from 6-7pm eastern, the rest of the week will be self-directed asynchronous online. Materials: E-text/simulation bundle: $129 (lifetime access), internet access required.

• Explore the unique structure and legal requirements for nonprofit organizations

• Know how to create and leverage a compelling mission statement

• Recognize connections between finances, fundraising and program development;

• Idenify board/staff responsibilities and best practices for managing a nonprofit organization

• Identify current economic, social and political issues that may influence a nonprofit organization’s effectiveness

• Identify ethical issues and challenges that may influence organizational effectiveness

In this 3 course program, students will learn how to turn raw data into a clear visual story through infographics and data visualization using Tableau. Data has become the most important resource for every business, and so the ability to distill raw numbers into meaningful messages is coveted by employers and entrepreneurs alike. But the insights gained from data analysis will only ever be truly valuable if they can be clearly expressed to other people – bosses, colleagues, clients, customers, or other stakeholders. This credential will be useful for anybody working with lots of data (as an analyst, data scientist, academic, finance officer, or business manager) who needs to find creative ways to effectively convey the meaning to other people.

Tableau-Desktop Specialist - Fundamentals

Tableau Desktop Specialist (Fundamentals): In this course, students will master fundamental skills for analyzing your data in Tableau Desktop. They will learn to connect to and customize data sources, edit field metadata, group fields, and apply sorting and filtering techniques. Exploring the Data pane and Desktop workspace, students will grasp the difference between dimension and measure data, and use fields to build essential charts, including line charts for time-based data; crosstabs and highlight tables; axis charts, scatter plots, and maps. They will write calculations to customize data, and apply table calculations to a view. Finally, students will create interactive dashboards that help guide specific data analysis. The use of two monitors is highly recommnended

Introduction to Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud includes the creative applications Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. this overview will introduce you to each of the three programs by reviewing the features and resources to help make the most of your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. In each class we will create a hands-on project using one of the individual Adobe programs. After completing the classes you will have a solid knowledge base so that you can move on to more in-depth Adobe courses. No class 11/8
