Police Testing

Police Testing is an online monitored exam for individuals looking to enter the law enforcement field with an agency who is a member of our Police Testing Alliance.  The exam is comprised of cognitive ability (reading comprehension, grammatical/written competencey, and mathematical reasoning) and personality (interpersonal ability, assertiveness, stress tolerance, team orientation, and ethics/integrity) sections.  The results of your written examination will be provided only to our Police Testing Alliance members as well as yourself.  Please see to see the specific police departments who are current Alliance members.


What you'll need for the exam:

  • You will be required to have 2 devices on the day of the test.
    • Mobil Smartphone or tablet.  The GoToMeeting app will be used as the video/audio app for the IOS Test Proctor to monitor and communicate with you during the exam. 
      • Your device must meet the following requirements:
        • iPhone 5 or later running iOS11 - iOS15
        • iPad 3rd gen or later running iOS11 - iOS15
        • Android device running Android OS 5 (Lollipop) - Android 11
    • Desktop or Laptop PC running Windows 7 or later.  The IOS Testing Application will be downloaded to this device in order for you to take the exam.  Apple products or Chromebooks are NOT compatible with the IOS Testing Application.
  • You will be required to download GoToMeeting Application on a mobile device. 
  • You will be required to download the IOS Testing Application on a Desktop or Laptop PC.  (The IOS Testing Application link will be sent once your specific exam date is scheduled.)

This is an online monitored exam.  Registration will close on October 24th.  After registration has closed, you will be contacted by I/O Solutions (our testing company) to schedule your specific day and time for the exam.  Testing sessions will be scheduled during the week of November 8, 2021.

Social Media Marketing

Learn how to market using social media! Develop a social media strategy by utilizing platform specific social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube).  Perform demographic targeting, write ad copy, manage marketing budgets, learn to schedule content, measure KPIs through data driven decisions, create an employee advocacy program, incorporate influencer marketing, and practice personal branding. This is all accomplished through a state-of-the-art simulation program and e-text bundle where you are the social media marketing manager. Classes will meet on Monday nights from 6-7pm eastern, the rest of the week will be self-directed asynchronous online. Materials: E-text/simulation bundle: $129 (lifetime access), internet access required.

Adobe InDesign for beginners

This course covers the fundamentals of Adobe InDesign. Participants will implement graphic design skills to effectively design print and digital publishing such as logos, posters, flyers, and newsletters. We will also review how to create digital ads that can be placed with online media outlets.

Adobe Illustrator for Beginners

In this class, you’ll learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator including new skills like manipulating images, working with color tools, creating shapes and adding gorgeous typography. At the end of this class, you will be able to: Navigate the Illustrator workspace, Draw and transform shapes, Create and apply color swatches, Choose and edit the perfect font for your project, Create a project from start to finish in Illustrator, Understand the various types of files & usage (AI, EPS, JPG, PNG, PDF).

Tableau-Desktop Certified Associate - Intermediate

Tableau Desktop certified Associate (Intermediate): In this course, students will push their data analysis skills in Tableau Desktop to the next level. They will determine when to create extracts and when to use joins, unions, and blends to modify data connections. Students will learn to filter across data sources and analyze subsets of data using context filters and sets. They’ll go further with calculations, using LOD expressions and specifying options to control table calculations, and they will do more with mapping. To enable analysis, students will create parameters and user controls, and show data trends and forecasts, as well as data distributions. Students will round out their skills by designing dashboards that incorporate visual best practices. Prerequisites: Desktop I and/or equivalent experience. The use of two monitors is highly recommended
