This 4-week class is an introduction to the practice of mindfulness; training the mind to be awake, aware and engaged in the present moment. Mindfulness can help reduce stress, improve focus, and foster resiliency. The class will include practice, discussion and suggestions for integrating mindfulness into our busy lives. You do not need any previous experience.

The Science and Practice of Mindfulness

This six week introductory training in Mindfulness will teach you to develop a focused and embodied attention, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater sense of ease and well-being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.

The course will include the following: : training in meditation, managing stress, recognizing unhelpful habits and working with reactions.
